Novele started the way most good things do for readers: with a cup of coffee going cold next to a book that was too good to put down.

We are readers first. The kind who keep a to-be-read pile taller than the nightstand, who judge a café by its armchairs, and who believe the best hour of the day is the quiet one with a book open and a warm mug within reach. And yet, for years, that mug was always the least interesting thing in the room. Plain. Forgettable. Bought in a pack of six.

So we made the mug we wanted to hold. A glass mug shaped like a small stack of well-loved books, with translucent spines that glow when the light comes through them and a handle sculpted for slow mornings and long chapters. It took more prototypes than we care to admit to get the glass thick enough, the colors vivid enough, and the handle comfortable enough. But when the first finished mug landed on the desk, the whole room went quiet for a second. That was the moment we knew.

What we believe

Reading is a ritual, and rituals deserve beautiful things. The blanket, the lamp, the bookmark you've had for a decade: they all matter. Your mug should too.
